japanese candy I have eaten
![]() What is it? White Angel Cats Chocolate. On the side of the box it says: "Lighten up your day with white angel's milk chocolate." OK. I will. Fun! I love the little kittens on the bar! It's just like in the picture on the box. Pink and white chocolate kittens. How does it taste? Hmmm. Chocolate's OK. This isn't bad. It did lighten up my day and what more can you ask for? 8/10. |

![]() What is it? Almondy Pocky. How does it taste? Blegh! Not my favorite Pocky. It's OK but not the Pocky I would recommend for your first Pocky experience. 4/10. |

![]() What is it? Chocolate covered almonds. I don't know if there was something wrong with this particular box but they had some weird crunchy layer between the almonds and the chocolate. It reminded me kind of like beer nuts or something. Like a crunchy honey. How does it taste? Overall, OK but not something I'll be buying again anytime soon. I'll give them a 5 out of 10. |

![]() What is it? These are little chocolates made from both dark and white chocolate. They're shaped like little ice cream cones. How does it taste? These were great. Kind of like a Kinder Egg without the toy. Definitely recommended. The box opens at the top and you can just pour 'em down in. 9 out of 10.
WTF? Detail of box top. |

![]() What is it? Ah Ichigo Baby. These are weird. They're like pellets and they come in a plastic dispenser. Hard to describe really. They're like Pocky but without the pretzel stick I guess. How does it taste? Not bad. Little sweet. Odd texture. Soft. 7 out of 10. |

![]() What is it? Ah Kalpo by the good people at Glico the makers of Pocky. Glico's orginal name, if I'm not mistaken was ChokoTek. Anyway, these are simply Pocky turned inside out. I love Pocky but I love these even more. I've only found them in chocolate though and wonder what other flavors these come in. How does it taste? Great. Nice snack. Great with milk. 10 out of 10. |

![]() What is it? Pocky is the king of all Japanese snacks IMHO. Glico makes all kinds. Some are sweet dessert Pocky and there are even savoury meal Pocky. These are chocolate. They're cookie sticks. They're named Pocky because the Japanese have a fondness for odd double words that are onomatopoeic. Before Pocky were called Pocky, Glico, formerly ChokoTek, ran a commercial for these biscuit sticks. The noise of them breaking was indicated by a word balloon that said "Pocky Pocky". The name stuck. How does it taste? Pocky are just delicious and I eat 'em by the case. I don't worry too much about it because if it's from Japan they must be good for you right? They're great. You should try all the different flavors. If you live somewhere where you can't buy stuff like this, try J-list or something and order by mail. It's worth it. Perfect 10. My favorite are the strawberry ones. Then custard, then chocolate. |

![]() What is it? When I saw the name Glico on this box I knew it had to be good. They're little tiny heart shaped caramels that are really good and will provide you with the needed energy to win the big race. There's like only 5 a box though which was a bit of a downer. The upside is that the yellow top part of the box is actually a separate box with a toy inside. I got the penguin. How does it taste? Like any caramel, they start out a little hard but a few chews and you're in like Flynt. They're good. 8 out of 10. |

![]() What is it? I had to buy this to find out it's a lollipop. Apparently, one of the deadlier pops because it comes inside a plastic wrapper inside a foil wrapper inside a cardboard box. Each lolli has a different graphic painted right on it. The box cover matches the lolli you'll get. Freeze bought one two so it wasn't just coincidence. How does it taste? Bah. Lollipop. I didn't even try it. But I do appreciate the machinery that has to be in place to match each lolli with it's box. American candy I have eaten | English candy I have eaten
