2006-08-05T22:01  Time for another Sis and Me story!  Sis got off work around 8 and didn't have any bus fare.  I didn't have anything but my bus pass.  So I lent her my pass on the condition that she'd come get me at 10 with either my pass or a car.  Of course, I ended up getting out early!  I walked outside and there was the bus.  I had no pass, no bank card, and no money.  I called Sis on my cell and told her I needed to get home stat.  She told me she'd come up to get me with my pass.  She met me at Upper Wentworth and Fennell with my pass but told me that she had to run to catch her bus and some of her bus fare fell out of her pockets!  So now we had to walk home.  The bus was coming though and I had to get home to tend to my dogs so I grabbed it while Sis walked ahead.  I told her I'd throw the pass out the window so she could get home.  We passed her but the bus was going too fast to toss the pass.  We made the next stop and a couple of slow people hopped on and we had the red light.  I was hoping that Sis was going to be running for the bus understanding that now was the time.  I saw her and tossed the pass thinking she could catch the next bus and we'd be okay but she kept running for the bus I was on.  (I found out later that the pass fell right under the rear wheel of the bus and Sis had to grab for it and almost lost her hand.)  I didn't want her to catch it because I knew that Fare FRED detects when a pass was used twice in a row to prevent people from passing it back or throwing it out windows.  We were getting away from her but passengers on the bus told the driver to wait because there was a girl running for the bus.  I froze.  Sis got on and swiped the card.  NOT VALID!

One good thing came out of this whole mess though.  Look at what I found at the bus stop!

I'm not even kidding.  I found this autographed Polaroid at the stop along with a pack of generic smoking cessation gum and an uneaten Egg McMuffin.  If you don't know who the gentleman on the right is I ain't tellin' ya.

2006-08-04T17:09  Uh I left Sis alone at my desk today and when I got back I found this hi tech "spaceship" she built.  It has a steering wheel, a light at the front and "a staircase to the second level.  Or it could be the captain's chair because it's so high."  Wow.
