make a wallet from a piece of paper

My grandmother showed me how to make wallets out of paper.  She is from "the Old Country" and she used to make and sell these wallets to make a little extra cash on the side.  Sort of how like kids today make and sell duct tape wallets I guess.  Now I'm going to show you how to make them.

  1.  Start with a piece of paper.  I'm using a piece of 8 1/2 by 11 but you can use any size as long as it's a rectangle.  My grandmother used to use newsprint and would make wallets big enough to be purses!  Fold the corners in as if you were making a paper airplane.
2.  Fold in the corners on the other side too.  Your sheet will look like this.
3.  Take the point where the corners intersect and fold it 1/3 of the way back into the page.
4.  Do the same to the other side and your sheet will look like this.
5.  Now take hold of the top of one side of the paper and fold the other folds over to the middle of the sheet.
6.  Now your sheet looks like this.  Remember you haven't flipped the paper at all yet!  You've just folded on top of other folds.
7.  Now flip the paper.  Take the front of the paper and fold it back about an inch.
