Gallery III.  Lt. Cmdr. F. Bromwich

What follows are some photographs I have scanned from one of several albums belonging to Herbert Frank Bromwich.  "Brom" as he was affectionately known was the grandfather of Starsmars and died last week at ninety.  He was a World War II vet.   There are many more photos from this particular collection and several more albums as well.  Click to enlarge them.   The captions are Brom's own.  All italics are mine.

From the posed look on his face-not to mention the Luger!- I'm sure this is a buddy of Brom's wearing the uniform of a dead German.  Also see "The Axis"

Brom is in the first row.  He was an officer in the RAF until around 1942.  During the rest of the War he was in the Fleet Air Arm (RN Air Force.)  This looks like Brom has returned to visit his old RAF buddies.  Note his RN uniform.
